Well, again it has been too long between posts. I am sorry Alli, Gracie, and Christopher. We have had a busy fall. Christopher, you are growing fast and getting to be more and more fun. Gracie, you amaze me as we do school at how well you are doing. I do not feel like a born teacher so hearing you actually start reading is amazing to me! Alli, you are a busy busy girl. I think you need your own calendar because you are always planning new and fun activities for us to do. I am sorry to say we don't get around to actually do most of them. They are typically pretty elaborate plans:). I am enjoying this Christmas season with you three. You girls are understanding more and more what Christmas is really all about.
Every year trying to get a Christmas picture is quite a chore. After a few failed attempts Mrs Beth Martin got the best one for the card. I am just posting some of my favorite unused ones.

Christopher, you are getting bigger every day. You have started to take notice of toys and seem interested. Alli and Gracie, y'all are so proud of him. You two set up all of his toys last night and were having a ball just watching him look around at them.
I love it when one of you comes to tell me "you have got to get the camera!". These pictures are not as sweet as the moment was, but I am glad I have the memory captured.

Alli, you lost your first tooth! It has been wiggling for a couple of weeks. Daddy had been trying to pull it, and then we put you girls to bed and 2 seconds later you came out soooo excited because you had pulled it out yourself. You also realized you have another loose tooth as well. This was harder on me that I would have expected. You are growing up way faster than I would like. I enjoy getting to be your mommy, and watching you grow. I am very proud of you.

Gracie, you were sooo excited for Alli. Anyone would have thought it was you who had lost the tooth. You were all too willing to get out of bed for the celebration;)

Christopher your sister's are sooo excited to be holding you standing up! This is a very big deal because I always make them sit to hold you. You are pretty happy and have no idea the danger you are in. You also had your 2 month checkup today. You are 10lbs 14oz, and 23in. You are growing right on schedule, and doing new and cute things every day. You have started talking and cooing at us lots which is fun.

A Gracie story

So....Last night Daddy was at a meeting so I was doing bedtime by myself. I put you girls to bed, and had just sat down to feed Christopher when Alli came running out of your room. Alli looked scared to death and said "Mommy! You have to go help Gracie! Her head is stuck under the bead!!" Obviously I jumped up and handed Alli Christopher and ran to see what was going on. Sure enough Gracie, your head was under the bed, and your body was sting out. You were crying and scared. I helped you simply turn your head to the side to slide it out. Then I calmed you down, and put you back to bed. I would have LOVED to run grab the camera so that you could see what all this looked like from my perspective, but I felt that would be way to mean to leave you like that any longer. This morning Daddy and I asked you about it. We wanted to know how in the world an obedient little girl who is supposed to stay in bed gets their head stuck under the bed. There was a lot of smiling and finger sucking before you finally said you were out of the bed playing.
Gracie this is just a pretty typical story about you. You are always keeping us on our toes;) We love you!

Almost 6 weeks

This is what I get to see most mornings right now and I LOVE it. You girls wake up so ready to hold Christopher, and get the day started. Typically I feed Christopher and then y'all hold and play with him until I can get my coffee poured and breakfast ready. I LOVE your crazy hair and fingers in your mouth Gracie. I know you will need to stop sucking your fingers soon, but I will miss it.

This is a bit late sine tomorrow you will be 4 weeks old Christopher, but I have been a bit busy;) Daddy and I got to the hospital at 7am to get ready for a c-section. You arrived April 7th 9:30am. You were 8lbs, 3oz, and 21in long. I was very very excited and ready to have you out!! You immediately displayed a very strong set of lungs showing what a healthy baby you are. The whole family came to see you in the hospital, and we all loved you instantly!
Christopher, you have been a very sweet baby so far. You sleep and eat well. At your 2 week checkup you had gained 3oz. Last night you even slept through the night for the first time! We are excited to watch you grow and learn more about your little personality. Our greatest prayer for you is to grow into a man who knows the joy of following Jesus where he leads you.

Alli, I do not know what I would have done without you! You have been such a HUGE help to me over the past 4 weeks. You are a wonderful big sister to Gracie and Christopher. You take great joy in relieving me of any chores you are able to do for me. I am so grateful for the help, but even more than that I LOVE how much joy you have as you serve the family. I pray God continues to develop in you a servant's heart, and uses that to further His kingdom.

Gracie, my heart melts as I watch you hold and care for your little brother. You have an ear for his softest whimper and rush to check on him to give him his passy or just say sweet words to quiet him. I never change a diaper that you are not there to watch and help, and then throw the diaper away. Nurturing seems to be your gift.

These past 4 weeks have been wonderful! I have so enjoyed doing nothing but watching and caring for the three of you. Life will soon pick up pace, but this has been such sweet time for me to just savor the joy of the gift you all are to me. I hope I will be better about keeping this updated in the future.

So with 14 days till baby Christopher arrives we are starting to get ready. We are scheduled for a C-section thurs April 7th. Bye bye storybook nursery!
Alli, you helped Daddy prime and paint the walls. Gracie, you have been pretty excited about all the changes. Every time we do something new, you tell anyone and everyone who will listen.

Today I let you girls get some flower pots and zinnia seeds at walmart so you try and grow from "scratch". Alli, you are very into growing ,and want to plant all sorts of flowers and fruit in our yard. Daddy and I hope you continue to feel this way as you get older. We would gladly let you be in charge of the yard work:) Gracie, you just like doing whatever Alli likes doing for the most part.
Gracie, your favorite part of planing is always watering.

Y'all did such a good job, I think I may go back for more seeds to led you plant some in the back yard bed.

Watching you girls work, play, and grow makes my heart sing! I love you both!!!

Jan 9th & 10th we had a big snow here in Ga. you girls loved looking at it, and playing in it for a little while. It was pretty cold so we had to limit how long you could play out in it.

Soooo sweet!

Girls, I am so sorry it has been so long since my last post, but better late than never I guess! So I will start with your 5th birthday Alli. We had the older cousins over for a sleepover party. We had a very good time making our own pizza, and decorating cupcakes. After watching a movie, and going to bed late, y'all were little chatterboxes! After an hour or so you came out and said it was too loud, and you couldn't sleep. I told you that you could go sleep in the playroom by yourself, and you sad yes and were asleep in seconds;)!

Gracie you went down to Macon to have a sleep over with Perry Catherine, and had a wonderful time. Aunt Claire said you were lots of help with baby Charlotte.

We had been out of town for Andrew and Bethany's wedding, so on the way home we stopped by the Varsity for a birthday lunch.

We came home and opened presents.

You wanted a Snow White cake. You were pretty tired after our long weekend, but still excited about being 3. You are such a joy to our family. You make us laugh all the time. Today is Daddy's 30th Birthday. You girls wrapped your gifts all by yourselves and had a great time. All I did was hand you tape. We started the day with Krispy Kream, and have celebrated all day long. Gracie you keep saying "now is it my birthday?" because you know yours is the next one after Daddy. Tonight I asked you what you wanted for your special birthday breakfast. You thought for a minute and then said "Raisin Bran!!"

Saturday July 25th we took you girls to the Stone Mountain Laser show. Daddy and I have been before, but this was you girls first time. We picked up KFC and had a pic nick on the lawn and waited for it to get dark.

A new blog

So up until now this blog has been from Alli's perspective on things our family is doing. Because she and Gracie both are getting too verbal for me to pretend to be able to blog for them I am taking over. From now on this is a blog to Alli and Gracie from me. I will change the name from Allison Wonderland to Alli & Gracie

My hope is that you both can look back through this blog and see how wonderful and fun this time is for me. Girls I have very little recorded in your baby books so this is going to be a much better source for finding out about your childhood.

There has been a time gap because our camera was broken, but now we have a new one, so I will try to keep it updated better.

A Seaside Thanksgiving

This Thanksgiving we went to Seaside with Gigi and Big Daddy, and all of Mommy's Sisters and Brother. It was a big croud! We had a great time!!

I think Gracie's favorite part was the little train set Gigi brought.
Perry Catherine and Gracie are getting to be good friends.
I have a feeling the two of them are going to get into a lot of trouble as they get older.

Yesterday Gracie and I got to go to our first Georgia game. It was so much fun. The weather could not have been more perfect. Gracie and I were pretty excited as you can see.

This morning started with a bang! Gracie ran into the kitchen for breakfast in her sock feet. She slipped and slammed into the corner of the cabinet. Mommy took her to the urgent care to see if she needed stitches while I stayed at home with Daddy. No stitches were needed. Just steri-strips(sp?) and Motrin. She is already feeling better and back to running way too fast, and screeching around corners in the house.
I on the other hand am feeling really great today. Much of that is due to my new soft outfit Mommy made me. I LOVE it! There is nothing like new clothes to put a spring in your step.
Mommy thinks the outfit is cute, but will never sew with that fabric again! She says it is the pits!!

Gracie and I love each other so much. Yesterday Mommy found us playing in my room like this. I told her she should take a picture, so she did;)

This weekend we went to Macon to help wish P-Cat a happy Birthday. She is 2 now! Not a baby anymore. (That is what we have to tell Gracie since she keeps calling P-Cat a baby) P-Cat is such a silly and fun little girl. We are glad we get to be her cousins.

Fall around here

A few weekends ago we went for a picnic and to the Pumpkin patch. Gracie's favorite part was the Picnic!
I liked the Pumpkin patch. The little ones were my favorites.

We had a such fun day together.

In other news we had our back door replaced recently. That may not sound very exciting, but Gracie and I LOVED it!! Mr. Bill from our church did it for us, and Gracie and I were completely mesmerized the entire time. Mommy kept telling us to scoot back and give him room to work, but it was so interesting that we kept inching forward.

Mr. Bill was so nice and let us watch as much as we wanted.

What a gift!

While we were at the beach this past week, Mommy and Daddy had their 7th Wedding Anniversary. Monday night we celebrated it with the group. Aunt Catherine and Uncle Brett surprised Mommy and Daddy with a gift of new quilts for Gracie and my beds. Uncle Brett's Mommy, Mrs. Cheryl, made them. Now this is the kind of Anniversary gift I like! Something for me!!! Mommy was so excited and surprised she cried as soon as she saw them.
As soon as we got home today we put it on my bed to see how it looked. BEAUTIFUL! I think my dolls look so nice on it.

Saturday Gracie turned 2 years old! It has been a fast 2 years for sure!
I helped her open her gifts, and play with her new toys.
I think she really likes her new pink beanbag chair. Now she has a great place to just sit and relax while she watches cartoons.
That afternoon we took her to the Mall to ride the "choo choo train".

Yesterday Gigi had all of us over to play at her pool. It was fun to have all the cousins there together.

It is so rare that they get to just hang out and do nothing. Most of the time they are so busy trying to make their mothers feel needed. It was a great day for everyone I think. Thanks Gigi for hosting!

The weekend

This weekend our Friend Reuben came to visit. We loved having him here.
Reuben is so sweet to read to Gracie and me. He is a pretty smart guy, and knows that reading to us will help us love to read ourselves.

We also got to meet Aunt Catherine and Uncle Brett's new puppy Murphy. I was a little nervous as you can see, but I think I will warm up to him and we can be good friends in the future.

He is so little and cute. He really likes Gracie's dress!

Lazy afternoon fun

Yesterday after naps Mommy let Gracie and Me decorate cookies. I made one for me and one for Daddy.

Gracie just made one for herself. Mostly she just ate the icing. She would put some on the cookie, and then lick it off. She never even took a bite of cookie. When all her icing was gone she handed the clean cookie to Mommy and said "all done."

Here is my cookie for myself. I figured out a way to get the maximum amount of icing and sprinkles on my small cookie. If you put on a layer of icing and then a layer of sprinkles it adds stability, and you can repeat the steps a number of times. I think there are 6-8 layers on my cookie.

Here I am reading to Gracie, or at least telling her about the pictures. She is always saying "read me!" Yesterday after a while I told her "you are making me crazy!" but then I went ahead and did it anyway. She does make me crazy, but she is too cute to say no to.

Cozy

Yesterday Mommy made Gracie and I big girl hooded bath towels. She got the idea from Sweet Miss Carey. This is something I am very excited about since Mommy still had me using the baby towels! They left me feeling very chilly and exposed. These new ones are nice and big and cozy! I love it.
Mommy wanted to add a little something cute to the back. I told her that I wanted a diamond on mine since I am "Diamond Girl". Mommy asked why, and I told her "I'm Diamond Girl, because that is what God made me!" This is the first Mommy had heard of any of this, but she did put a diamond on the back of mine which made me very happy.

See my long hair (long for me). Well, I have been asking Mommy to cut it for about a week or two. She kept putting it off, and said she wanted to wait until after Easter. Well, now she is VERY glad she did. This morning she cut my hair. Not sure what happened, but there was one snip in the process that changed the whole cut. She had intended to just give me a small trim. Instead this is what happened....

I like it. When I saw myself in the mirror I smiled and said "that's silly. It looks like a baby!" Mommy says it is hair, and will grow back over time.

This weekend we got a minivan!
Gracie and I are so excited! We are loving the new ride. I especially love the tinted windows because the sun no longer gets in my eyes.

In other news, do you see the red dot on my head? Well, Mommy just saw it and asked me how I got it. I told her "I was just scratching my head on the floor." I don't really think it is a big deal.

Visit to Macon

Yesterday Mommy, Gracie and I went to Macon to visit Grandmother and Granddaddy Smith. We had beautiful weather to enjoy Macon's cherry blossom trees in.
A dance to the player piano is always a must at Grandmother and Granddaddy Smith's house. Mommy remembers doing the same thing when she was a little girl.
Gracie and I had a great time walking around and playing outside. We didn't even mind saying cheese for the camera 100 times;)

After our visit with the Grandparents we headed over to the Weaver's to play with cousins while Mommy and Aunt Claire sewed.

Babysitting and such

Friday our friend Sophie got to come over to play. We were sad her sister was not feeling well, but glad for the opportunity to spend time with Sophie. Gracie LOVED being a big girl for the day and letting Sophie be the baby of the house. I think she came over to kiss her on the head like this at least 100 times.
Sophie was so sweet! She let us talk in her face, bring her toys, take her toys away, and kiss her on the head as much as we wanted. She never even fussed. We hope next time Sophie comes to play she can bring her big sister Emily too.

Later, my friends Addie Lane and Lillie came over to play. They were in town for Lillie's birthday trip to the American Girl store. Mommy got her Kirsten doll down so that I would have an American doll to play with too. We had a great time!!! Our mommys lived to gether at UGA, and loved getting to see their little girls play together. It was a special day.

Daddy bought me a new Fridge!

Last Saturday, our fridge died. I offered for mommy to use my little pink one, but for some reason, she didn't want to. So, daddy decided to buy a new one! It was delivered today!!! Me and Gracie were so excited. As soon as the delivery men came in, Gracie started saying "Manny! Manny! Manny!". (not sure what that was about. Daddy said he would explain it to me later).

This new one is really shiny and I love it!!!

Gracie and I had fun watching it snow. Unfortunately it never really covered the rain puddles outside at our house, so we didn't go out to play in it.

Few things bring out the dancer in a little girl as much as trying on a bathing suit. Mommy says this changes as you get older. Anyway, Gracie and I had a great time trying them on.

As you can see, I was a bit chilly and wrapped myself in a blanket, but defiantly didn't want to change back into my warmer clothes.

The temperature didn't seem to bother Gracie. She ran around to stay warm I guess.

Gracie and I like to read books in bed together. Shortly after this picture was taken, Gracie fell off the bed on her head so we had to move the reading party to her crib. Such is life in our house.
This picture is just to show off the new curtains Mommy made for my room. I picked out the fabric myself! At Hobby Lobby I ran right to it, and said that it was the one I wanted. Since it was a good match, Mommy agreed.

This is Gracie and me on the morning of my Birthday. My birthday request was to have breakfast at our little table. Gracie thought it was especially fun. My birthday was on a Sunday so it was packed full. We went to church, had lunch at Gigi and Big Daddy's, and then went to Chuck E Cheese for dinner and fun. It was a crazy but fun day.
Today Mommy decided to organize all the baby/little girl clothes Gracie and I have grown out of this past year. Wow! What fun! Gracie and I LOVED it. We were such a big help. Well, maybe not Gracie. She mostly just put on every item of clothing she possibly could. I however, put each item in the box Mommy told me to as she checked the size and folded it.

Christmas conversations

Last night while Mommy and Daddy were putting Gracie and me to bed we were talking about the Christmas story. We had just seen a Christmas pageant at church so we were discussing all the characters and what they did. My friend Mia was an angel and Daddy was telling me that there were many angels who were there as part of the heavenly host. I was a little confused and asked "there were Minnie angels?" (looking at my Minnie mouse next to me). Daddy tried again, and I said "oh Manny and the tools angels?" (as in Handy Manny). Finally Daddy said " there were a lot". Now that I understand.

I have NO idea why mommy kept trying to take pictures of Gracie and Me today. She kept saying "SMILE!!!", "Say Cheese!", "Look at me!", "put your hand down", "sit closer to Gracie", "try and say cheese at the same time Gracie does!!".... Gracie and I were very sweet, and kept saying "cheese!". It was just hard to say it at the same time. I have a very bad feeling Mommy did not get what she was looking for and this is going to be repeated.

Trick or Treat!

The Taylor Family goes Camping

This weekend, our family went camping. On the way I was pretty excited. We had long, rainy, night so Mommy didn't take any pictures of that. We went with the Bryant family since they know how to do this camping thing, and were willing to share all their stuff with us.
The next morning things were looking up. The rain was gone, we built a fire and got the campsite all set up. When I say "we" I mean Miss Anna Mr Will and Daddy.
This is me and Georgia Ann. We had a great time playing together.
Mommy, and Miss Anna lived together at UGA, so they had a great time getting to spend some time together.
Here we are roasting marshmallows for smores. I was not a big fan of the smoke.
Over all our family had a great time. A big Thank you to the Bryant's for letting us come with you!
When we got home Mommy asked me if I had fun, and wanted to go camping again. I told her "yes, but inside next time".

Mommy was trying to get a picture of us on Saturday, but Gracie was not really in the mood.
I helped her down the front step...
She headed straight for the flower bed. Mommy kept telling her "no no, stay on the walkway". She had her own ideas, and fell on the little brick edgers.
This is the boo boo she got. It was all very sad.

Today Gracie and I got to go and see Lady's puppies. Lady is my Big Daddy and Gigi's dog.

Elmo Live!

Friday night Mommy, Daddy, and me went to see Elmo live! Thank you to Uncle Alex for the tickets!
It wasn't too crowded so I got to stand up, move around and dance all I wanted.
After the show we made a stop for the "Hot Now" sign. Yumm....
Also, a big thank you to Mimi and Pop for taking care of Gracie so I could have a special night by my self with Mommy and Daddy.

Back from the beach

Ok, so little girls do silly little things. The other day Mommy gave me a big treat of having a Capri sun drink. Gracie had been eyeing it and trying to get it from me so I was having to keep it our of reach. Well mommy and I got busy doing other things and all the sudden we heard a slurping noise from the kitchen. We went to check and this is what we found. Gracie had gotten on her tippy toes and gotten it off the table. I guess I left it too near the edge. Anyway, she was so happy mommy just let her have the rest and gave me another one. Gracie wins again!

Big girls do silly things too I guess. The other day I found Mommy's hot rollers and asked her to roll my hair, so she did. I was very pleased with the results.
I was so enamored with my own reflection that I couldn't even look at the camera.
I loved the extra body it gave my do.

It is hard to believe it has been a year since I met my little sister. She has grown up so much in one year. Look how tiny she was!!!

Now look at her. She is a fun little person, learning new things every day.
Gracie is "SO BIG!"
Gracie loved getting to play in all the wrapping paper and bags that her gifts came in.
I loved that she is too little to care if I open the gifts for her and play with them.

An update

So, apparently Gracie can walk. This is news to Mommy, Daddy and me. We have been working with her and trying to teach her with no luck at all. Today while mommy and I were reading we noticed Gracie's head bobbing past. We looked over the the top of the book to see Gracie not just taking a step or two, but simply walking past as if she had been doing this for quite a while. Like 7 or 8 steps! What a little stinker.

In other news, I had Daddy move Gracie's crib into my room this past weekend. I love having her with me. It takes longer to go to sleep, but we are having a good time. Giggles and growels can be heard for quite a while after we have been put to bed. It also opened up Gracie's room to be a playroom for all of our toys. So far it is a change for the better.

My boo boo

Yes. I got a big boo boo. I fell off a step and landed on my face.
I was pretty pitiful.
Here is Gracie's new rick. She can flip the front of her shirt over her head when she is playing in her bed. She is sad because she doesn't know why Mommy is taking her picture instead of getting her out of the bed.

One of my favorite activities while Gracie is napping is to play with play dough. This is what I like to do with my play dough... It is like being my own Miss Potato head!
This is Gracie's current favorite place to play. She takes all the toys out, and sits in the drawer. What a silly girl.

Spa Night

Aunt Rachel came to spend the night with us last night, so we decided to do a "girls spa night". It was my first, and I loved it! We did pedicures so we would all have fancy feet! I felt very grown up.
Also, Gracie and I shared a room for the first time last night so that Aunt Rachel could use my room. I slept on the floor right next to Gracie's crib. She went to sleep before me, but woke up when I came in and got in bed even though I was very quiet. She cried a little, but I kept whispering to her "don't cry, don't cry". When she stopped fussing we talked and laughed for about an hour before we fell asleep. Mommy and Aunt Rachel enjoyed listening to us on the baby monitor. I think we should do that again;)

Little Teacher

I am teaching Gracie how to dress up. We were playing in my room the other day, and I thought Gracie needed a little drama added to her outfit. I think this gives it just the right touch. I think she felt very pretty.
This morning I taught her how to push a baby in the stroller. She liked it, but kept trying to use the stroller I was using. What can I say, she is a mess!

Today I got to paint with big girl paint! No more paint with water for me. I have graduated! Mommy had it all set up and ready when I got out of room time. I was very excited when I saw it, and painted for over an hour. Mommy was very impressed at how neat I was.

Our Gracie is growing up

Gracie is growing up so fast. She is pulling up everywhere now, and even stands up every now and then all by herself. She crawls as fast as I walk now, so she can keep up with me pretty well. I am so proud of her. When she does something new and exciting I tell her"good job Gracie! I'm so happy". This seems to be great encouragement for her.
